<작가소개>
대한민국 통영에서 출생인 정현경 작가는 오감으로 세상을 마주하던 시절을 지나 언어로 정의되고 나누어지고 규명되고 있는 세계 속에서 갇혀 살고 있던 스스로를 발견하면서 그림을 그리기 시작하게 되었다.
그의 작품 내용, 그 과정과 심리적 동기는 다음과 같다.
1. 독일의 신표현주의,데이빗 호크니의 자유로운 선택의 감성과 감정
2. 바실리 칸딘스키의 점,선,면
3. 짜라투스트라의 권위적 이해와 야성과 지성의 체험,개인의 개체성에 대한 독보적 교육에 근거함.
4. 독특한 칼라는 미학의 광기에서 자웅동체적 이해를 소화해 가면서 ‘나’ 개인의 카리스마를 이해하고 있음에서 기인되었음.
The artist HyeonKyeong Jeong, born in Tong Yong, South Korea, embarked on creating paintings upon the perception of her existence enclosed in the world in which the language is used for definition and justification followed by the times when it was through five senses the artist had comprehended the world. 빛과 어둠,선과 악,안과 밖,시작과 끝,차가움과 뜨거움… 우리는 끝없는 공존 속에서 살고 있지만 현상의 일면만으로 판단하고 재단한다.
공존하는 것들에 대한 전체성을 이해하고 받아들이면 그것으로 완전성을 지닌다.
Light and darkness, virtue and evil, inside and outside, beginning and the end, coolness and warmth…we pertain to the boundless realm of coexistence, albeit the phenomenon is comprehended and judged based on a mere aspect of entirety. The integrity is conveyed as the entirety of the coexistence is understood and accepted.
