In 1999, the band release Mindfields and begin an extensive tour across the globe. After a few months in Europe they travel to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a brief break, Toto resumes recording and goes on to record their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes an original cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe in response to the band's cover of their hit Africa on the recent tour. Toto's touring band is rounded out by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.
